Introduction

Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS) is a member of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE). It was founded as the Faculty of Foundation Sciences in 2001, and officially changed its name to Faculty of Applied Sciences in September 2016.

Mission

The Faculty of Applied Science is responsible for high-quality training, research and transferring technology. Besides, the Faculty is accountable for teaching foundation sciences for students of natural science, technology, and engineering programs at HCMUTE. The Faculty also trains human resource in material technology, atomic engineering, technical physics, and applied mathematics for the requirements of social and economic developments, and efficiently serves industrialization, modernization of our country and actively international integration.

Vision

By 2020, the Faculty of Applied Sciences will become a strong faculty which has qualified staffs with good professional knowledge and skills. The faculty will have academic, research and technological transfer activities with high quality, become a prestigious unit in training and scientific research, and have wide cooperation in science, advanced engineering, and technology with many domestic and foreign organizations.
